Example
Five subjects of 100 marks with 78, 85, 91, 66 and 88 give 408 out of 500, which is 81.6% — an A1 under the common board scheme.
How the percentage is calculated
Percentage = total obtained ÷ total marks × 100, across all subjects. This weights each subject by its total marks, so a 150-mark practical subject counts more than a 75-mark one — the same way boards calculate overall results.
Grades differ between boards, schools and years. The scheme here is editable so you can match the one printed on your result card.
Good to know
- Leave a row's obtained marks empty to exclude it.
- Inter Part-I and Part-II are often combined for admissions — add both parts' subjects to see the combined percentage.
