How to use
- Choose the university.
- Enter obtained and total marks for Matric, Intermediate and the entry test.
- If ZIYNU hasn't verified that university's formula, enter the weights from its admission guide.
- Read your aggregate and how much each part contributed.
Example (NUST weights)
Matric 990/1100 (90%), FSc Part-I 470/550 (85.45%) and NET 150/200 (75%): 90 × 0.10 + 85.45 × 0.15 + 75 × 0.75 = 9 + 12.82 + 56.25 = 78.07%.
Why weights matter
When the entry test carries most of the weight — 75% at NUST — a few extra test marks change your aggregate more than several board marks. Universities that weight Intermediate heavily reward consistent board results instead. Knowing the split tells you where preparation time pays off.
Formulas change and can differ between programmes, campuses and admission routes (e.g. SAT or A-level equivalence). ZIYNU only fills in weights that have been checked and shows the source; the university's own admission guide is always the final word.
